Welcome, my name is Don R. Stanley Jr. "DJ". I'm excited to share my passion for capturing the beauty of the world through my lens. My journey into photography began at the age of 10 when I received my first 35mm camera as a Christmas gift from my parents. That moment ignited a lifelong passion, and I haven't looked back since. With over 30 years of experience as a health care professional, I bring a unique perspective to my photography. The art of storytelling and connecting with people has always been a priority in my life, and that carries over into every photograph I take. Whether it's capturing the intricate details of nature or the emotion in a candid moment, I strive to create images that resonate deeply.
I enjoy shooting a variety of styles, including breathtaking landscapes, captivating wildlife, detailed macro shots, mesmerizing long exposures, and stunning environmental portraits. Each type of photography allows me to explore different aspects of our world, and I love to challenge myself with new techniques and subjects.
Travel is a huge part of my photography journey, and I'm always eager to explore new places. I am happy to travel throughout the United States for shoots, capturing unique moments and stunning scenery wherever I go.
Outside of photography I cherish my time spent with my amazing wife Karen, our family and friends. Together we love traveling, hiking, mountain biking, and backpacking, fueling our adventures and inspirations for my photography.
